If you had an old side table or desk that really had no charm covering it with this beautiful designers guild fabric would be simple yet very stylish, i just love the yellow silk cushion with it!
The fabric is part of our current Designers Guild collection

My love of white...
Today is my first day off in 3 weeks our new store opened its doors on Saturday and my feet never touched the ground, it was definitely our best week ever, so many old friends i haven't seen in quiet a while have called in making my week extra special. Thank you to all my customers who visit my blog and encourage me to keep blogging! Our interior section upstairs will open in a few weeks time and it will showcase all our beautiful wall papers, fabrics, rugs, lamps and furniture and in the near future window displays too! keep looking at our website too as I'll be adding lots of furniture pages and interiors over the next few weeks, our newsletters are now posted on our website they will be featured at the beginning of every month in both home-wares and fashion. The image i just posted is from coastal homes so fresh, homey and very Queensland!

A Collection...
I always seem to drift back to touches of blue i suppose my love of a neutral colour scheme allows colours like this blue to fit in so beautifully and feel so calming. I had a customer tell me how much she loves the movie "Somethings Gotta Give" well she is possibly one of hundreds of my customers who love the movie and the style of the home, we all get into every inch of the movie i.e decor mostly and i often laugh that I'm not the only one to start a rock collection, every time i go to the beach i always look out for round white smooth rocks and my friend Nim Say's the heart rocks are rare and definitely the lucky one's to find, my hubby is definitely the black rock on top of the heap! So the bowl of rocks (with a heart rock above) the collection of shells, the blue door was the reason i had to share this picture with you.

Add a touch of colour...
white painted floors, shutters, loose covers and the floral fabric on the sofa look so fresh and relaxing, i could easily be swayed to loving this look i'm now on the hunt looking for this gorgeous fabric as it would look beautiful in our new store. Dont forget to go online to http://www.lily-g.com.au/ our monthly fashion and home newsletters are now on-line, we are busy planning our fabric and furniture pages which should be complete in the next few weeks.

Our Doors finally opened...
Our doors finally opened on Saturday i was like a little girl on her first day of school, I was up and dressed at 7am (now that's a first for me). Our shop looked amazing and it was one of our busiest day's ever, the beautiful comments from friends and my customers were overwhelming, the gifts the messages and the flowers thank you from the bottom of my heart! we have been closed for 10 days and I don't think Paul and I slept for more than 5 hours a night and after lots of panicking, a few tears (from only me of course) and a mix of emotions we made it, thank you to my Dad who helped me endlessly especially when tomorrow he is about to have open heart surgery but gave his time regardless, Paul who is my rock I couldn't have done it with out you and to my kids all six of them thank you! Saturday being our first trading day was better than I could have imagined my loyal customers and so many new ones and especially men, we had so many visit our store, i think they loved all the comfy sofa's I often saw a hubby sitting on a sofa reading my books and it put a smile on my face it felt like a home and that's exactly what i wanted to achieve!
