Show day in Brisbane

Monday was the perfect day to take my lily to our show day called 'The Ekka.' We had such a fun day and as this was lily's first time ever, she never stopped laughing and having fun! I took heaps of pictures but I love this one the most, she chased the piglets cuddled the sheep and adored the goats, how precious are our children and for a mother who works long hours it was truly a special day for a mum and a little girl who never stopped smiling.

Sounds like you had a wonderful day. They are precious when you can push away the rest of the world for a short time and focus on the important things. I too, spent Sunday with my daughters and sheep and a local country fair.

What a precious memory and you know she will remember it too. Special days like that (when you are so young)are burned into your memories forever. Thank you for your kind words over at my place. They meant a lot to me. Hey... I have heard a rumour about a shop tour to Honkers next year???? Sounds fabulous. A-M xx

What a lovely way to spend some time together. DId your little Lily want to take all the animals home with her? I remember begging my parents for "just a chick please, nothing big"!

hi Clare,
She has not stopped asking for a pet pig like "Babe" but little does she know Daddy would want to eat it!

This is so sweet. She will have a special memory from this experience. Animals and children go together like peanut butter and jelly.

Oh Jude she is so precious and your comment about Paul made me laugh so hard...reminded me of when I was a bit older than Lily and said how cute this little piggy was and my dad said 'very cute....but I don't think I would manage eating one all by myself'...maybe thats why Im vegetarian now??? haha
