My Bedroom

I'm always nervous posting photo's of my home but here goes, this is my bedroom the wall paper is actually pale blue with bronze damask but it's not showing up on the camera, my chaise is still to be recovered and my cushions are getting made in blue silk piped and buttoned in a taupe colour to sit on the chaise till I can afford to recover it, I have a long ottoman that sits under the white sideboard that is covered in a stunning fabric but its not ready so i'll post a photo when its completed. My office actually comes off this room and will be painted in the palest of blues but that's still a job in progress!

I bought this mirror from the markets and used it as a tray to show off my collection of antique perfume bottles, I'm a shocking photographer so this was the best attempt!

another view of my bedroom which leads on to the Bathroom. I had the sideboard painted in a pale blue and rubbed back on the decorative parts in gold-bronze paint.

A few of my collectables, the crystal box is over 100 years old purchased in an old perfumery in Paris, I purchased the perfume bottle but couldn't justify spending the money on the crystal box, I told paul if it was still in the window after lunch I might just buy it, well it was gone and I thought well It was meant to be, that night Paul gave it to me as a surprise and it will always be a special reminder of our trip together. The other pieces I have collected from antique stores and paid very little for the pieces but loved them anyway.

What a lovely, romantic boudoir you have created! I love your antique perfume bottles in particular - they look so pretty on the mirror.
And thank you for the encouraging comment about my son - it's good to know that other people have been in a similar situation and come out smiling. Fingers crossed!

Judy, your bedroom is stunning. Stunning!
I'm so glad you took a close up of your collection.
Not only are all of your treasures beautiful, but it also gave us a close up view of your exquisite wallpaper.
I like that you only did the wallpaper on one wall. It is a lovely backdrop for your bed.
Thank you for sharing.
Also, I am so glad you were able to finally leave a comment on my site. I'm not sure why you can't leave your URL, but it wonderful hearing from you!

My god Judy I'm practically speechless! I've been umming and arring about using that Anna French wallpaper in my room for so long and it's just wonderful to see it as a feature wall instead of a small sample. What a truly divine sanctuary. I'm completely envious :)
