A special effect...

These beautiful nickel lanterns look amazing grouped together and image the effect at night, definitely on my wish list for 2008

Is That "Baby's Breath"

In my next life i think i might be a wedding planner (okay! i just watched the wedding planner on DVD for the tenth time how gorgeous is J-Lo) I'm not sure the correct name of this flower in the picture but i know it as baby's breath, shock horror on my wedding day this lovely little flower was placed in my hair like dot to dot in my bouquet and any other flower arrangement on the day, Well it was the 70's but really what was i thinking! I don't think i could every use this flower again but i must admit it does look gorgeous on this wedding table isn't it funny how like fashion it all comes back its just done a little differently!

beautiful vases.....

I just love this setting one ill definitely like to use, today i went on my weekly visit to the markets whilst i hate getting up early (if you don't you melt) i have become addicted to going, buying my fresh flowers for my home is so much fun and i often pick up the odd treasure too! last week i found a gorgeous vase no luck this week but its so fun to look anyway! The setting above is from Carolyne Roehm web-site, i have all her books so if you love setting a table, flowers and inspirational ideas grab a copy of her book (back in store late Jan).

on a silver tray.....

On my silver tray I have added some simple glass vases and an old bottle I found in my cupboard that i just couldnt throw out, to the right of my coffee table I have stacked interior books that i love looking through!

A New Year

My blog is about to have a revamp but as I'm hopeless on computers i need to get a Little help so i gave it a temporary new look! (you had to see my attempts ewe...) anyway its a whole new-year and i have to say its my most favourite time (besides Xmas) as you get to set new goals and try again with new years resolutions! i get to start a new diary and journal and plan an exciting year ahead because for me 2008 is going to be the best year ever!!! this week i have decided to post a few pics on coffee table decorating, personally if you have the space buy a large coffee table as it allows you to be more creative, stacking lots of books on a coffee table its an inexpensive way to decorate. I often use in my decorating a silver tray (like the picture above) and add interesting pieces such as a collection of shells, a large piece of coral, add interesting vases and candle holders that add interest to the tray and also allows for hand cut flowers from your garden.
